Hi, I’m Harshad Bhagwat — a Career Transitions Coach who has boldly reinvented his path from Scientist to Entrepreneur to Career Coach over an 18-year journey.
In the last 3 years alone, I’ve coached over 1,000 mid and senior professionals and impacted more than 10,000 others through my live sessions — helping them land high-paying roles, build leadership visibility, and gain deep career clarity.
My mission? To help professionals become the CEO of their Career and create a path rooted in autonomy, growth, and harmony.
I believe the corporate system is broken — and success belongs to those who stop playing by its outdated rules. I combine strategic thinking with deep mentorship to help professionals unlock their potential, build leverage, and own their next bold move.

I’m not just coaching individuals — I’m leading a movement of Career Champions who are done playing small and ready to build careers on their own terms. 

I have always been an entrepreneur.

Even in the imaginary world during my childhood, I used to be a trader selling flowers from my garden. I even had a rate card typed on the typewriter in my father’s office.

This DNA of entrepreneurship, of course, comes from my father, who never worked for someone else.

I have always been a person with big dreams. I consistently pushed myself to the limits.

Throughout my school and college education, I dabbled with different things. Be it elocution competitions, singing gigs, mathematical Olympiad or volunteering for NGOs. I was doing many things at the same time.

I always gave my 100%. I was constantly evolving with many failures and successes along the way.

I graduated from a top engineering college. I had two job offers on-campus from reputed companies. But, I didn’t accept either of the job offers.

I had a different plan for my career. I had to work hard towards it. But, I achieved a position as a Scientist in the reputed Tata Research Development and Design Centre. I became the first person without having a masters degree or a PhD to get that position. It was tough to survive. But I thrived with many research papers and international patents to my credit.

The entrepreneurship DNA from my father and teaching DNA from my mother combined to manifest something different.

I took the plunge of leaving the high-paying corporate job to start my own startup in 2014.

I started WordsMaya with a grand mission of empowering students and professionals with professional communication skills and make them job-ready online using mobile-based tools.

This was a revolutionary concept at the time when all we had in India was 3G internet and that too only in cities. I could foresee that online learning will become mainstream soon and I wanted to be a part of this 'next big thing'. 

WordsMaya empowered 14000+ students and professionals. It worked with AICTE and 50+ colleges, universities, corporates, NGOs across India.

It received seed funding from IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. It won many awards, including SmartFifty: 50 startups to transform India along the way. It was covered many times by national and local media and received several accolades.

It was a heck of a journey with many ups and downs. The impact we created and feedback from the learners pushed us forward.

I believe in simple living high thinking.

The achievements in the outside world need inner strength and stability.

I am a deeply spiritual person consistently working on myself towards inner peace and wellbeing.

When I am not working, you will find me meditating or gardening.
